Pardon the Interruption, but...

Got thrown a curve ball. World was up side down and topsy turvy. Had to go away, to be able to come back. And now that I am on the "other side" as they say, I can talk about it. March 28th, 4:27pm is a time that I will remember the rest of my life. At that precise time, I was told I had Cancer. Uterine Cancer. True, it's the "best" kind to get, but still Cancer. I went thru the gambit of feelings (screaming, crying, worrying, and wondering) and then resolve. And then got to the work of getting rid of it. I wanted it gone, yesterday. Was told I might have to wait till May to have the hysterectomy done in my hometown. Unacceptable. I no more could live with this tumor growing in me, than have aliens taking up residence. Which is exactly how I looked at it. At any moment, it would grow and burst out of it's confines and I would be lost. Opted to go to Billings, MT (my new favorite city in the world) to have the DaVinci Robotic Surgery. Prayed they could fit me in, prayed it would be on April 15th. So while some folks were sweating their taxes, I was losing my "lady parts", all of them, but I didn't care. They had served me well, but now they had to go. It is now day 12 and I am still sore and tired and my body is rather bruised, but I found out last week, they had caught it so early, the tumor was totally contained in the Uterus and no lymph nodes were affected. It is gone! And I do not need anymore treatment. :) I feel like I have my life back. I will recoup, no more work for the rest of the school year and I will get stronger each day. Spring has officially arrived for me. Always, Kit

April Showers

Life is not a highway strewn with flowers
Still it holds a goodly share of bliss
When the sun gives way to April Showers
Here is the point you should never miss

Though April Showers may come your way
They bring the flowers that bloom in May
So if it's raining, have no regrets
Because it isn't raining rain you know
It's raining violets.

And where you see clouds upon the hill
You soon will see crowds of daffodils
So keep on looking for the blue bird
And listening for his song
Whenever April showers come along.
