Getting Ready!

I am heading West this week to the glorious state of Oregon. I look on it as our second home. Every year we hole up at the edge of the sea and just let our cares and concerns flow away from us and let our souls recharge. I do not take a computer, so I will be off the grid for awhile. My entertainment will come from the passing whales, jigsaw puzzles, books, and my love. Happy Summer, Mateys!

Happy Father's Day!

To my love. You are the best father I have ever known. You did it all, (bath time, poopy diapers, playing endless games, dressing them for school) and even with working some ungodly hours at your job. You are always there for your girls. Thank you for giving me my babies and helping me to raise them into the most incredible women I have ever known. LYS Always, Kit

A Garden House is Thing of Beauty.

Especially when it is filled with pretty flowers ready to be potted up!

Start of Summer Vacation

Work is over for the school year. I have cleaned and polished. Removed decor and posters, said my good-byes and shed quite a few tears. (If you look closely at the photo, I am at the apex of the W, with my arms flung up, and probably making some obnoxious noise...LOL)

But now, my Summer of Projects will begin and so will the sleeping in.....LOL I love this time for myself. I have a list a mile long already and I can't wait to start. Today (if that darn weather behaves) I will tackle: painting the remaining patio chair bright blue, mow and trim the yard, move my geraniums out to the front step, pot up the plants I bought yesterday and the plants I bought the day before, and put the remaining yard art out. And when I start to get a bit tired, sit down and watch the next installment of Larkrise to Candleford. And sip a cup of hot tea. Ahhh, this is the life! Always, Kit

A lovely day

We have had the best Saturday of them all so far. So sunny and warm and just plain beautiful. Today is shaping up to be the same. :) I was sitting on the couch in my favorite and familiar spot and "my mountain" (actually Stuart Peak) was shining and my view was looking so pretty. I know there are other spots more scenic, places far more spectacular, but this view is mine. A glimpse between old houses to a hillside that I watch every season and watching the changes, it's the best show in town. Always, Kit
