Costa Rica

A place I didn't really know where on the map it was, until about a couple of months ago. Oldest daughter came to me one day and was literally bouncing off the walls. The company she works for was sending her to Costa Rica to help with a swift water training class. And boy was she excited! This is a girl who loves any kind of adventure and is at ease with minimal comfort. She can pack everything she needs in one back pack, looks for unique and cheap accommodations and finds the best way to get around on a dime. And she has such a blast. Today on her itinerary she was slated to visit Arenal Volcano and the hot springs. She is hoping to visit the Cloud Forest and learn how to surf on one of their many lovely beaches. Wow! Already we are getting reports of the wonderful food and people and she saw two giant iguanas and a sloth! I just know she is wearing the hugest smile. I can't wait to get her back home (that's the Mom in me talking) and see all the photos, and hear all the great stories. She is making memories of a life time for sure. Always, Kit

She sounds like an adventurous girl and you have such big heart to let her take off to find her dreams. It's hard being a mother! We want them to spread their wings but stay close to the nest. This will be one great experience for her. The pictures are gorgeous!!

How fun and exciting! I know of Costa Rica, my neighbor (who is no longer living) had a sister who lives down there. He would go down to visit her and he said it's just an entirely different world. Hope your daughter has a wonderful time there. Blessings, Diane

This is a fabulous time for your daughter. Such a wonderful adventure for her. I have a friend who vacations down there with her husband, almost every year. They just love it. I hope you can post more pictures when she gets home.

Isn't it great that our kids can have these adventures? Our youngest is traveling Europe - in Istanbul just now and having a wonderful time by the sounds of it.
Costa Rica is supposed to be a beautiful place. You'll enjoy hearing all about it when she returns.
