The forgotten month. I hear that a lot. That it is just the resting up period between Halloween and Christmas. But only if you let it. I happen to like November and the quietness it affords. From the frenetic decor of Halloween, my home takes on a mellow affect of golds, oranges and browns. My collection of glass turkeys take center stage, along with the sprigs of Bittersweet and Fall leaves. Everything calms and relaxes. With the fireplace going and a couple of candles lit, one can settle in for an evening with a good book or conversation. There is plenty of time ahead to think about Christmas, it will get it's full month in December. But for now, it is November's time to shine. Always, Kit

Hi Kit, I love your November post, and I too love November... I sort of feel like it is the "forgotten" month too... and it is just too beautiful to be forgotten... I loved seeing your collectible turkeys in your previous post, and your Fall colors are so pretty... I myself am guilty of bringing Christmas into our home a bit early... I just have so many vintage things I like to put out, I have to start in November... but you have inspired me to slow down and relax and enjoy this beautiful month of many blessings... xoxo Julie Marie

November is a wonderful month. One to reflect on life and all that we have to be thankful for. Not just big things but little things that make our days and lives more peaceful.

I know your place is very cozy and inviting. Enjoy.

LOVE this, Kit! This is exactly how I feel. There is so much beauty to enjoy in November and plenty of time to decorate & shop for Christmas in December!
We have had several snow storms already - but we did finish building the shed (yay!!!) and it is filled with dry fire wood, so time to relax is near!
Hope you have a lovely Sunday, Kit!

Everyone seems to always want to rush the holidays, ushering in the next before the current one is over. I prefer to take one day at a time. November is the month of Thanksgiving. A time to be grateful and to count our blessings. Thanks for stopping by my corner of the world. Best wishes, Tammy

I use to think that way but this year I seem to have developed a new appreciation for November. Yay! Maybe it is because our October was so hectic. This month is I'm really busy getting house projects done so I can tuck in for the winter and so I am forever grateful to November!
