Mosaic Monday!

Over at the Little Red House it is Mosaic Monday. This past Saturday was our tree trimming party that my two girls look forward to each year. I supply the treats and drinks and they supply the fun and muscle in order to get 200 or so ornaments onto our tree. We put on some special Christmas music (first up is what they lovingly refer to as Banjo Christmas but is actually, The New Christy Minstrels) break out the Whitman Sampler and Pepperidge Farm cookies and we are off and running. It takes us about 3 hours and the last touch is the tree topper and the girls have to hear the story behind it's life. And we are done. Well, almost, the next day I put the finishing touches on it, adding the dough people, bows and displaying toys and the train around the bottom. It is so nice to have the tree all decorated and ready to be enjoyed for the next few weeks. Thanks girls. Great job!

Always, Kit

Oh, I love reading about traditions that families have at Christmas, and your tree decorating sounds like a wonderful one! Your mosaics are beautiful!

What pretty decorations - especially the little spinning top.
